Welcome to the iMedDoc Plug-in Setup.

This is the all in one plug-in for your iMedDoc system. This plug-in will enable you to:

1.       Connect iMedDoc to Microsoft Word

2.       Connect to a scanner to scan images into iMedDoc

3.       Dictate directly into iMedDoc.

4.       Print documents natively.

How to install the plug-in?

It is simple and straightforward to install this plug-in. You can do it in just a few clicks by following the steps below for your operating system.

Windows 10

Make sure you have administrator rights for  your computer

1.       Download the plug-in here   -    iMedDoc Plugin

Steps for Microsoft Edge:

If you are using Microsoft Edge, when you download the plug-in you may get a message like the image  below:

If this pop-up appears, hover the mouse over the message and please click on the three dots in the top right hand side of the pop-up box and then click “keep“.

 

You will be prompted to confirm your selection as per the image below.

Click “Keep anyway” to keep the file. This file has been security checked and is completely safe to add to your system. Once you’ve done this, you can click on the file that downloaded (the file may be at the bottom of your web browser or may also be in your downloads folder) to start the installation process.

Steps for Google Chrome:

In the Google chrome, the download will look like below

      Click on the file to start the installation.

 

Installation Steps: 

The installation process is straightforward. Just double click on the file and follow the instructions with the default options.

Sometimes, you may see  errors like below.

If this message appears, please click  “More Info” and then r, click “Run Anyway”. It will ask you for the elevated privileges and click Yes to proceed.

Sometimes, you may encounter a screen such as the below that will prompt you to close existing apps before installation.  Select the first option to close them automatically and click “Ok” to proceed. The software will then begin to install.

To finalise the installation you will be asked to close the browser you are using(Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge). . You can skip this step and it is not necessary.

Click “OK” to close this window and the installation is now finished and you won’t see any further progress or messages.

    Once the installation has finished you can immediately begin using iMedDoc.  

 

Pre- Requisites

Make sure the URL kmmlocalhost.com can  be resolved locally in the system . Please visit the URL to find out more regarding this

Windows 7

Make sure you have the administrator rights in your computer

1.       Download the plug-in here   -    iMedDoc Plugin

2.       Double click to install it. 

3.       Follow the onscreen instructions to install it.

4.       Once installed successfully, you can immediately start using it

Pre- Requisites

1.       Dot.net Framework 4.7

macOS

1. Download the link from the URL below

Requirements: macOS 10.13 or later

To install the plugin on your Mac:

1.      Download the Plugin from the following link

  1. It will download the plugin in a zip file. Extract the zip file and run the iMedDocPluginInstaller installer.

 

2.1  If you have older version of plugin installed on your Mac, it prompts to uninstall the existing older version first. Click the Uninstall button to proceed.

2.2  After uninstallation completed, click ok to close the installer.

2.3  Run the iMedDocPluginInstaller installer again.

3.      Click the Install button to complete the installation.

4.      After installation completed, click ok to close the installer.

Note:

Sometimes iMedDoc Plugin requires access to your Keychain to update the certificate in the Keychain. You need to click on “Always Allow” to replace the certificate when its prompted

To uninstall the plugin on your Mac:

1.      Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, Click iMedDoc Plugin, Click Uninstall button

Troubleshooting:

1.       Errors while installing plug-in

Try to install the required components separately. Then reinstall the plug-in.

2.       Still iMedDoc says the plug-in has not been installed

Make sure the URL kmmlocalhost.com can  be resolved locally. Try resetting the Proxy settings in the iMedDoc plugin settings in the system tray.

3.       Not responding while opening documents, keeps spinning

Make sure the Microsoft Word add in is installed properly.
